Florencia joined Keltie in 2023, having previously worked at another leading patent law firm in London. She specialises in patent drafting and prosecution across the UK and Europe, advising clients on the protection of innovations spanning a wide range of industries, including software, electronics, automotive engineering, and materials science.
Florencia has significant expertise in inventions related to optical devices, telecommunications, cloud applications, financial technologies, video encoding, data analytics, automation, gaming, amusement parks, and the application of AI and machine learning across these sectors.
She holds a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Cambridge, where her research focused on the study of the composition and structure of novel semiconductor materials for next-generation solar cells and LED devices. Florencia additionally has a background in Chemical Engineering and has previously worked as a research engineer in the oil and gas industry.
