About Ayesha

Ayesha joined Keltie in January 2024. Her responsibilities consist of conducting trade mark searches, advising clients on their trade mark rights and handling contentious matters. Since entering the profession, she has worked with clients in various industries.

Ayesha graduated from City University of London with an Honours degree in Law in 2017 and completed the LLM LPC in 2018. She gained experience in a law firm that specialises in aviation, maritime and residential property before deciding to move to the trade mark industry. Ayesha has over 4 years of experience in the IP industry and qualified as a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney in 2023.

Ireland and the Unified Patent Court

Despite being an enthusiastic participant in the European Union, Ireland has sat on the sidelines of the EU’s Unified Patent Court (‘UPC’) project so far. But not for much longer – the Irish Government has announced that the necessary constitutional referendum will be held in June 2024 and that Ireland’s ratification of the UPC Agreement will be fast-tracked if the referendum passes.
